Doug Loves Traverse City

and so do I.

Just listened to the #DougLovesMovies podcast from the Traverse City Film Festival. In addition to some pretty good games, there’s conversation about consulting the creative community when building movie theatres  (in the land of a Jack Nicklaus golf course, a Michael Moore movie theatre makes sense).  another great conversation about supporting the vet community with PTSD treatment & jobs  & (for Michael ) a fairly calm rant about civil rights, terrorism & defending our constitution.
I loved everything about living there except the winter weather & we had then access to great movies & even in the 90s a classic single screen theatre on State St.  More power to Michael & everyone working to keep the greater northern lower peninsula a place well worth visiting. Fabulous people. Lovely beaches.  Native American history sites. Good food.  & an interest in arts.
The podcast is honestly well worth your hour & a 1/2 plus a bit. Link to itunes, etc & other episodes here.
