Yes, we did.

Tonight, in lieu of an actual short, we are posting a music performance.  None of you need me to explain what happened to the Eastern Seaboard of the US & down into Central America this week.

We are making the choice to feature a song that was used on the Red Cross fundraiser here on 2 Nov. We are not using that actual performance, as the legally available option of Hulu is quite restricted on areas of play but I encourage you to seek that out on available options in your country.

Just as “New York State of Mind” came to invoke a rather bittersweet love of New York City following 9/11, this older Billy Joel tune is oddly fitting to the occasion. & speaks about moving on. Plus, it kinda rocks. Yeah, I’m a dork but I loved his music growing up & he’s been a great supporter for this cause.

I hope wherever you are you take a moment to consider the help the Red Cross offers & the difference even a single $1 can make. not just on this occasion but many others. They have systems in place that enable your donation to make an quicker impact.

Thanks for your time & patience. I don’t want to be preachy at all. It’s easy to fling some hate at the things that irritate  about the US .  But I’m proud to see how our country can pull together in times of need. Just wish I didn’t have to see it.

Next week a film. Promise.
